Christmas Day: A Day of New Beginnings in Irish Hospitals!
Imagine the most precious gift arriving on the most special day of the year. That's exactly what happened for several families across Ireland this Christmas!
Before lunchtime, maternity hospitals were already buzzing with the arrival of new bundles of joy. Let's meet some of these little miracles!
At Dublin's Rotunda Hospital, the clock struck midnight, and two precious babies made their grand entrance almost back-to-back. First, at 00:06 am, Kristin and Colm Concannon from Kilbarrack welcomed baby Ronan, weighing in at 7lbs 2oz. Just a minute later, at 00:07 am, Natalia and Constantin Simciuc from Tyrellstown celebrated the arrival of their son, baby David, who weighed 7lbs 3oz.
Then, at 7:09 am, the Rotunda welcomed baby Tommy, weighing 8lbs 2oz. Parents Ruth and Gary Kenna from Kinsealy are overjoyed with their new arrival.
But here's where it gets heartwarming: Elsewhere, at the Coombe hospital, a baby girl named Croía arrived at 00:41 am, weighing 7lbs 3oz. Jodie and Jeremy McMullan will be taking her home to Kill, Co Kildare.
Over in Limerick, at the University Maternity Hospital, Susan Varghese and Joseph Gregory welcomed baby Alfie at 7 am, weighing 7lbs 10oz. They'll be bringing him home to Caherconlish. Also in Limerick, Yetunde Oju welcomed baby Christal at 5:12 am, also weighing 7lbs 10oz. The family is also from Caherconlish.
And finally, in Holles Street, Dublin, baby Enzo arrived safely at 3:23 am, weighing 7lbs 4oz. Proud parents Sara Quevedo Moreno and Ewan Snow are over the moon.
Isn't it amazing how many lives begin on Christmas Day?
