Samsung Galaxy S26: Leaked Battery Pack Hints at Qi2 Charging Revolution (2026)

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 is rumored to support the new Qi2 charging standard, and a leaked image of a battery pack suggests it will come with a magnetic Qi2 charging ring and a USB-C cable. The accessory, spotted by Winfuture, is said to deliver up to 15W of power via wireless charging and up to 20W via the USB-C cable. The battery pack itself is expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery, capable of charging at up to 25W. This isn't the first time we've heard about this accessory; last December, 9to5Google spotted a Samsung “Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack” in the Wireless Power Consortium’s database. The power bank could cost around €59.90 or $70. While the last-gen Galaxy S25 phones support “Qi2 Ready” cases, they don’t come with the built-in magnets needed for a Qi2 certification. The Galaxy S26 might change this, introducing potential updates like new camera bumps and an Ultra-only anti-snooping privacy display. This could be a significant upgrade for Samsung's flagship smartphone, offering faster charging and enhanced security features.
